  •
Employ a Virginia Tech student.
There are no unique requirements regarding employing students unless they are international students here on educational visas. You may post job opportunities on the CRC’s website.  You can review resumes that have been submitted to the CRC website by prospective employees.  Otherwise, the process is the same that you might use for any employee.  Students can be used for part-time work (weekends, nights, etc…), summers, or alternating semesters like the co-op program.

  •
Employ an international student.
International students cannot be employed directly by a company.  They can be employed by Tech if it can be shown that their employment is in support of their academic program.  So one approach is to initiate a sponsored research program with Tech for the student’s services.  More information on this can be obtained by contacting Dr. Tom Caruso at 231-6771.

  •
Request a larger suite.
The request should be sent to Dawn Crigger in the CRC administrative office detailing the amount of space needed and any special features the space should have.

  •
Do video teleconferencing.
The university has facilities that can be rented for video teleconferencing.  Contact Video Broadcast Services at 231-8989 or see Tech Provided Benefits.
